Appearance: Goofy is a tall lanky anthropomorphic doglike being with huge eyes, thin floppy ears, a long muzzle with a small black nose and big mouth with two protruding teeth. He usually wears a green turtleneck sweater under a black vest with baggy pants, big shoes, white gloves, a distinctive hat and goggles that he wears over his hat.
Personality: Goofy’s name is the first clue to his personality. He is silly, clumsy, good natured, and a little slow at times. Most people’s first impression of Goofy is to see him flying through the air with his distinctive cry, usually as a result of his own clumsiness, the proceed to get up, smile bashfully, and laugh it off.

Goofy is one of the nicest people anyone will ever meet. He genuinely believes that people should help each other, and will go out of his way to make a perfect stranger smile. There isn’t a malicious bone in his body, although he can become upset if he sees someone hurting others. Even in the face of his most dangerous enemies, Goofy has never succumbed to rage and hatred, only determination to keep them from hurting others. He fights only to protect others. Goofy hates seeing others in pain, and will do whatever he can to reassure them and make them feel better. Seeing people in pain is the one thing that will make Goofy sad. However, he rarely dwells on sadness, preferring to go out and make the things that upset him right.

Goofy is also incredibly loyal to his friends, following them to the ends of the earth and beyond, regardless of the odds. Of course, this creates problems for Goofy when his loyalties are divided, and when this happens he can become temporarily indecisive and can be manipulated. These periods tend to be brief, however, as Goofy has a strong moral compass that leads him to do what he feels is right, even if that decision is difficult.
Goofy can become upset when two of his friends fight, and he will try to help them reconcile their differences
One thing about Goofy that most people fail to realize is that he is incredibly observant and perceptive. He notices things others overlook, and tends to know what people are really feeling, and how to make them feel better. However, he also knows when to back off and let people work out their problems on their own.

Abilities: Goofy, despite his appearance, is actually a highly skilled warrior who has fought some of the most dangerous beings in the multiverse alongside Sora and Donald. Although clumsy outside of battle, and utterly hopeless when it comes to magic, Goofy achieves an odd grace when actually in a fight, spinning rapidly to deliver a flurry of blows to his enemies. He is highly skilled at using shields as an offensive weapon, and can throw any disk shape object with unnerving accuracy. He retains that skill in NYC, although most of his higher level abilities have been locked.

Goofy is also capable of absorbing an inordinate amount of punishment, particularly to the head. He has been observed to recover from blows that would likely kill a human.

Goofy is also a very observant individual. While many who meet him dismiss him as simple and dim, Goofy has a talent for noticing what others overlook. He is also very good at cheering people up, and his genuinely friendly personality has a way of brightening up most people’s day.

Weaknesses: Goofy is, to put it mildly, a utter clutz. When he is not paying attention he can easily do a lot of damage to himself and the surrounding environment.

He tries to always see the good in people, which his enemies can try and take advantage of to manipulate him. He also tends to get in over his head when he wants to help someone and get overwhelmed.

While observant, Goofy isn’t always the most scholarly individual, and he can have trouble grasping new technologies and concepts. Often time’s complex explanations just leave him baffled.

Goofy’s loyalty can be used against him when the people he cares about have conflicting interests. This can render him indecisive for a short period, while he tries to figure out what he should do.

Manhattanite or outsider? Outsider
History: Goofy dedicated himself to the service of his friend King Mickey, becoming Mickey’s loyal captain of the guard. Of course, the generally peaceful nature of Disney Castle’s inhabitants (with the exception of Pete) means that Goofy mostly spent his days napping in the sun or hanging out with the king and their friend Donald.

All that changed the fateful day when the king disappeared and tasked Goofy and Donald to find the Keyblade master and aid him on his journey. In short order the duo departed to Traverse Town, where they literally fell on top of Sora, the young boy chosen to wield the keyblade. The trio departed to search for their missing friends, and after some initial rough spots quickly became a powerful team who went on a number of adventures and defeated all manner of Heartless and villains. Their greatest challenge came when Riku was revealed to be the real keyblade master, which led Donald and Goofy to temporarily leave Sora to follow Riku. Goofy quickly decided, however, that his friendship with Sora was too important to him, and deliberately defied King Mickey’s orders to defend his friend from Riku. United again, the trio went on to face Xehanort’s Heartless for the fate of all worlds.

After defeating Xehanort’s Heartless and restoring the worlds lost to darkness Goofy and his friends vowed to find King Mickey and Riku, who had been sealed within Kingdom Hearts. This led them to Castle Oblivion, where Goofy continued to stand by Sora, even when the manipulation of his memories caused Sora to lash out at his friends. At the end of that adventure Goofy and his two friends were put to sleep while Namine restored Sora’s memories.

Upon reawakening, the Trio were quickly brought up to speed on the problem with the Organization and reunited with the King, and set out to once again to protect the worlds and find the missing Riku. Along the way the three friends learned the true history of Ansem and Xehanort, and battled many powerful enemies. Eventually they reached The World That Never Was, and were reunited with Kairi, Riku, and the King. Finally Goofy and his friends faced off with Xemnas, leader of the Organization. They appeared to have triumphed, and were about to return home through a portal created by Namine, when something went wrong. Goofy was separated from his friends, and found himself in a strange new world, called Manhattan. Undeterred, Goofy set off to once again reunite with Sora, Donald, and the King, and hopefully along the way help out the people of Manhattan with whatever had happened to them.
